Sperry Chalet was built in 1913 by the great Northern Railway who was a prime developer of Glacier National Park. It was operated as a wilderness backcountry Chalet offering lodging and meals for GNP visitors who were willing to hike 7 miles to an amazing destination. In August of 2017 the Chalet was consumed by the Sprague wildfire with only stone walls remaining. A 3year restoration and reconstruction headed by Anderson Hallas Architects, Dick Anderson Construction, Anderson's Masonry and a large support team which finished in July.
We had the privilege of capturing this amazing structure and place it was such a pleasure working in the Crown Jewel of the continent. From rooms that you could view Lake McDonald to the awesome food served by the staff it was rustic but refined! Perfect for those wanting a Montana adventure!
